It is important to do what we can to help support endangered species and the natural environment that supports them here in Canada. What a great way to support and be proud of our country. This year I am giving certificates to my mom, family and friends to do my part and support my country. My Mom was part of the air force and has been a true hearted follower of this precious Canada and has this past summer celebrated her 88th birthday. She has over the years visited family from the west coast to the east coast many times over and back again. I know she loves this country called Canada and will be thrilled to have done her part to help preserve this great place.

I open the Saddle-Up Ranch Retail Store in November of 2010 and it has been an exciting time. I have been involved in horse industry for many years and I feel that this is an exciting time because the horse industry seems to be coming back to life all over again. I am a retailer of Australian Saddles and Tack. For many years I was a die hard western riding horse woman but what I have discovered about the Australian saddles makes so much more sense for not only the rider but the horse also. With today’s life style we all seem to be focusing on what is important with respects to being healthy physically and doesn’t it make sense that we should take that same consideration for our horses and best friend, a member of the family? Well when becoming an Aussie saddle owner and retailer, I research the makers of these fine quality saddles and found they have done just that. For example, like the English saddles the Aussie’s are positioned more up on the withers of the horse over the shoulders and in turn this takes the weight of the rider of off the spine of the horse, which makes it much more comfortable for the horse. Makes sense right?
Another benefit for the horse are the surge panels which run from front to back on the underneath part of the saddle, and because all Aussie saddles are custom fitted to the horse, this will with use configure to the shape of your horse, unlike fleece panels that with time eventually wear down. And unlike the fleece panels the surge panels can be repacked easily if they should ever need to be. Now probably the most important quality of the Aussie saddles which is every saddle sold is custom fitted to the horse and we do that by having you taking a coat hanger, bending it over the horse’s withers at the horse’s shoulders, then tracing that shape onto a piece of paper and sending it to us. We then have the saddle adjusted to the tracing you have provided making that saddle you have just purchased fitted exactly to your horse. Exciting news though, we don’t stop there, now it is time to make sure the saddles is fitted to you also. By provided us with your weight and pant size we can make sure the seat size is fit to you where you will have a secure seat in the saddle and the safest ride possible.

G'Day, I am Dianne and I have been in the horse industry for many years. I first became interested in the Australian saddles when I began to understand that they were developed for the health and well being of the horse, my very much loved friend.
